Anatomúsica
El sábado estuve en Pecha Kucha VolL.7 BCN y encontré algunas presentaciones interesantes, como la de Eli McCarthy– Anatomúsica de e mc².¿Que es la anatomúsica? Además de femenina e íntima, es 100% biodegradable. ¿Por qué? Porque consiste en usar el cuerpo para hacer música.

When I sing, my lyrics recount a situation in words, and Anatomusic recounts this same situation through my body….
Depending on whether I am sad, angry, curious, in love, etc, I move in different ways: more or less, quicker or slower, with greater or less intensity, using specific areas of my body in specific ways (relaxing, tensing, collapsing, freezing, etc).
And each one of these movement has its corresponding sound…..
So when I compose a song, I explore the situation, not just as a story told in words, but as a clear and unique bodily experience.

When I listen to these sounds then, and divide them into musical units through digital processing, I create Anatomusic – music of the most personal kind, music that is me.
